Someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said, “YHWH, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”


Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Y’all must share your* counsel. What should we do?”


For the battle was there spread over the surface of all the country, and the forest devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.


The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.


Judge me, YHWH, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in YHWH without wavering.


Contend, YHWH, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.


Vindicate me, YHWH my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.


You will destroy those who tell lies. YHWH abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful people.


For strangers have risen up against me. Violent men have sought after my soul. They haven’t set God before them. Selah.


Let the assembly of peoples surround you. Return to your place on high over them.


YHWH judges the peoples. Vindicate me, YHWH, according to my righteousness and my integrity.


May the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous. The righteous God searched their minds and hearts.


Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.


But God is the judge. Hᴇ puts down one, and lifts up another.


for YHWH will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them.


for their Defender is strong. He will plead their case against you.


I will bear the indignation of YHWH, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.


For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this. Rather the one who judges me is the Lord.


When he was insulted, he did not retaliate. When he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he committed himself to ʜɪᴍ who judges righteously.


May YHWH therefore be judge, and give sentence between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.”
