Psalm 41:1

Hᴇ has dispersed, ʜᴇ has given to the poor. Hɪꜱ righteousness endures forever. Hɪꜱ horn will be exalted with honor.


Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but YHWH delivers him out of them all.


They will not be disgraced in the time of evil. In the days of famine they will be satisfied.


All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed.


He who despises his neighbor sins, but he who has pity on the poor is blessed.


The king’s wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise person will appease it.


The one who has pity on the poor lends to YHWH; ʜᴇ will reward them.


Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw near, when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them;”


But I will rescue you in that day,” says YHWH, “and you will not be given into the hand of the men of whom you fear.


For y’all will always have the poor among y’all, and whenever y’all want, y’all can do them good. But y’all won’t always have me.


In everything I’ve shown y’all that it is necessary to help the weak by laboring like this, and to remember the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”


They only asked that we would remember the poor, which I was also eager to do.


Siblings, we urge y’all: y’all must warn the undisciplined, encourage the disheartened, support the weak, and be patient with everyone.


For God is not unjust. Hᴇ will not forget y’all’s work and the love y’all have shown toward ʜɪꜱ name by serving the saints and continuing to serve them.


For judgment is without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.


Because you kept my word to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
