For the arrows of the Almighty are within me. My spirit drinks up their poison. The terrors of God set themselves in array against me.


For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.


For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Selah.


Have mercy on me, YHWH, for I am faint. YHWH, heal me, for my bones are trembling.


But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.


He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.


Moreover YHWH’s hand was against them, to eliminate them from the camp, until they had perished.


would y’all wait until they were grown? Would y’all then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, my life is too bitter for y’all, because YHWH’s hand has gone out against me.”
