David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.


YHWH, who can dwell in your sanctuary? Who can live on your holy hill?


“I have installed my King on Zion, my holy mountain.”


Blessed is the one whom you choose and bring near to live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.


You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among people, yes, among the rebellious also, that YHWH God might dwell there.


YHWH said to me, “Son of humanity, mark well, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I tell you concerning all the ordinances of the house of YHWH and all its laws; and mark well the entrance of the house, with every exit of the sanctuary.


Lord YHWH says, “No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, may enter into my sanctuary, not even any foreigners who are among the children of Israel.


Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what YHWH spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.


“I will send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me! The Lord, whom y’all seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Look, the messenger of the covenant, whom y’all desire, is coming!” says YHWH Almighty.


Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you can’t follow now, but you will follow later.”


Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold on to me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father. Instead, go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and y’all’s Father, to my God and y’all’s God.’”


Therefore, since we are receiving an empire that can’t be shaken, let us show gratitude, through which we serve in a manner acceptable to God, with reverence and awe.
