Psalm 21:3

He took the crown of their king from off his head; and its weight was a talent of gold, and in it were precious stones; and it was set on David’s head. He brought a great quantity of plunder out of the city.


The men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. They told David, “The men of Jabesh Gilead were those who buried Saul.”


So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron. King David made a covenant with them in Hebron before YHWH, and they anointed David king over Israel.


David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it. It was set on David’s head, and he brought very much plunder out of the city.


“Now therefore arise, YHWH God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength. Let your priests, YHWH God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.


Who has first given to me, that I should repay him? Everything under the heavens is mine.


They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but YHWH was my support.


We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May YHWH grant all your requests.


Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!


My God will go before me with ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.


“Or who has first given to ʜɪᴍ, that it will be repaid to them?”


Or do you disdain the riches of ʜɪꜱ kindness, self-restraint, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,


But we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, that by the grace of God he might taste death on behalf of everyone.


His eyes are a fiery flame, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows except himself.


Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the middle of his brothers. Then the Spirit of YHWH came mightily on David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.
