“If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward ʜɪᴍ.


As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,


My tears have been my food day and night, while people ask my all day long, “Where is your God?”


If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,


God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.


My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of YHWH. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.


Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the departed spirits rise up and praise you? Selah.


My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, YHWH. I have spread out my hands to you.


Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to YHWH. The thunders will cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is YHWH’s.


The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.


Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let them come to me and drink!
