Psalm 141:3
8 Tagairtí Cros

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.

I said, “I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”

I was mute with silence. I held my peace, even from good. My sorrow was stirred.

My mouth will be filled with your praise, with your honor all day long.

Y’all must not rely on a neighbor. Y’all must not have confidence in a friend. From the one laying in your bosom, You must guard the words of your mouth!

If anyone thinks of themself as religious but doesn’t bridle their tongue, they deceive their own heart and their religion is worthless.

For we all stumble in many ways. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in what they say is a perfect person, able to bridle their entire body.
