He says in his heart, “I will not be shaken. For generations I will have no trouble.”


But you, YHWH, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.


They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, “Who will see them?”


They plot injustice, saying, “We have made a perfect plan!” The human mind and heart are cunning.


They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”


They say, “YHWH will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”


Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.


Then he said to me, “Son of humanity, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say, ‘YHWH doesn’t see us. YHWH has forsaken the land.’”


Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘YHWH has forsaken the land, and YHWH doesn’t see.’


They don’t consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.


But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,


Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what kind of woman is touching him, that she is a sinner.”
