One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.


He who is eight days old among y’all are to be circumcised, every male throughout y’all’s generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring.


I was abducted-abducted from the land of the Hebrews, and here also I have done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.”


There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. He interpreted to each man according to his dream.


He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear YHWH, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”


On the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him Zachariah after his father.


When eight days had passed and it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived in the womb.


Instead new wine must be put into fresh wine skins.


“I am indeed a Jewish man, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strict tradition of our ancestral law. I was zealous for God just as all y’all are today.

In those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, a complaint arose from the culturally Greek Jews against the culturally Hebraic Jews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily deacon-work.


I ask then, did God reject ʜɪꜱ people? Absolutely not! For I, too, am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.


Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the descendants of Abraham? So am I.


When the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, “What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” They understood that the ark of YHWH had come into the camp.
