For the ear tests words, as the palate tastes food.


You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;


But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on human concerns.”


But Peter answered him, “Even if all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.”


Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, and said about him, “Look, a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit!”


For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come into the light, so that their deeds won’t be exposed.


So I always strive to maintain a clear conscience before God and humans.


Y’all must not be conformed to this world. Instead y’all are to be transformed by the renovation of the mind, so that y’all may test and approve what the will of God is—that which is good, pleasing, and perfect.


Love must be sincere, hating what is evil and clinging to what is good.


Now I beg y’all, siblings, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine that y’all learned. Avoid them.

But if I do what I don’t intend, then I agree that law is excellent.


For I delight in God’s law in my inward humanity,


because the mindset of the flesh is hostile toward God. For it does not subject itself to God’s law, nor can it do so.


He will also establish y’all until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Y’all must not become a stumbling block, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the church of God;


Therefore, if food causes my sibling to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I don’t cause them to stumble.


Now this is our boast: the testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward y’all, with godly integrity and sincerity, not by fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God.


For we are not like so many who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as those from God and before God.


We don’t give anyone anything that would cause stumbling, so that the deacon-work will not be discredited.


I am not saying this as a commandment, but as a way of testing the sincerity of y’all’s love by comparison with the eagerness of others.


Siblings, if I still preach circumcision, why am I being persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.


Instead, speaking truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,


testing what is well pleasing to the Lord.


that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.

Instead y’all should test all things, and hold firmly to what is excellent.


May the God of peace ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ sanctify y’all completely. May y’all’s whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


“Therefore y’all are to fear YHWH and worship ʜɪᴍ in sincerity and in truth. Y’all must turn from the gods your* ancestors worshiped beyond the River in Egypt and worship YHWH.


Beloved, y’all must not believe every spirit. Instead, test the spirits to determine whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.


I know your works, your toil, and your perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and found them false.
