The king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, “Deal gently for my sake with the young man Absalom.” All the people heard when the king commanded all the captains concerning Absalom.


One from the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a spirit that makes him mute.


Therefore I urge y’all, siblings, by the mercies of God, to present y’all’s bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your* proper sacred service.


I don’t write these things to shame y’all, but to admonish y’all as my beloved children.


For though y’all have ten thousand tutors in Christ, y’all don’t have many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became y’all’s father through the gospel.


My little children, of whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in y’all.


With him is Onesimus, the faithful and beloved sibling, who is one of y’all. They will inform y’all of everything that is happening here.

whom I wanted to keep with me, so that he might serve me in your place during my imprisonment for the gospel.


I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in truth.
