Y’all are to make it according to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all of its furniture.


You are to set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.


He made two cherubim of gold. He made them of beaten work, at the two ends of the mercy seat:


Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as YHWH commanded Moses.


They serve as a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to complete the tabernacle. For he said, “See, you are to make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain.”


So it was necessary for the copies of the things in heaven to be cleansed with such sacrifices, but the heavenly things require better sacrifices than these.
