22 and the land is subdued before YHWH—then afterward y’all may return and be clear of obligation to YHWH and to Israel. Then this land will be y’all’s possession before YHWH.

Afterward, when David heard about this, he said, “I and my kingdom are guiltless before YHWH forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner.


Hᴇ also drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.


“When y’all enter the land of Canaan, which I give to y’all as a possession, and I place a contamination of leprosy in a house in the land of y’all are to possess,


and every one of y’all’s armed men crosses over the Jordan before YHWH until he has driven out his enemies from before him,


until YHWH gives rest to y’all’s brothers as ʜᴇ has to y’all, and they too possess the land which YHWH y’all’s God is giving them beyond the Jordan. Then each of y’all may return to the own possession I have given y’all.”


until YHWH has given your* siblings rest, as ʜᴇ has given y’all, and they too have possessed the land that YHWH y’all’s God is giving them. Then y’all are to return to the land of y’all’s possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of YHWH gave y’all beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.’”


YHWH delivered it also, with its king, into the hand of Israel. He struck it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining in it. He did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.


Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time because YHWH, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.


So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that YHWH spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.


With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of YHWH gave them:


The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.


Anyone who exits the doors of your house into the street, their will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, their blood will be on our head if any hand is on them.


Now YHWH y’all’s God has given y’all’s brothers rest as ʜᴇ promised to them. So now return and go to y’all’s tents, to the land of y’all’s possession, which Moses the servant of YHWH gave y’all beyond the Jordan.


The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of YHWH by Moses.
