1 “‘On the first day of the seventh month, the month, y’all are to have a holy convocation; and y’all must not do any regular work. It is a day of blowing of trumpets for y’all.

Thus all Israel brought the ark of YHWH’s covenant up with shouting, with sound of the cornet, with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.


From the first day of the seventh month, they began to offer burnt offerings to YHWH; but the foundation of the temple of YHWH was not yet laid.


So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.


Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women, and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.


Y’all blow the ram’s horn at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.


Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, YHWH.


And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field; and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field.


“You are to observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year’s end.


On that day that a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, will come. They will worship YHWH in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.


In the first day y’all are to hold a holy assembly. Y’all must not to do any regular work.


YHWH will be seen over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. Lord YHWH will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.


“‘On the day of the first fruits, when y’all present a new meal offering to YHWH in y’all’s feast of weeks, y’all are to have a holy convocation. Y’all must not do any regular work.


“‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month y’all are to have a holy convocation. Y’all must not do any regular work. Y’all are to celebrate a feast to YHWH for seven days.


Y’all are to present a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma to YHWH: one young bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect;


“‘On the eighth day y’all are to hold a solemn assembly. Y’all must not do any regular work.
