The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. The obedience of the peoples will be to him.


He put garrisons in Edom. Throughout all Edom, he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. YHWH gave victory to David wherever he went.


He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.


But when Ahab was dead, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.


He defeated Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.


YHWH will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule among your enemies.


Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.


The burden of Moab. For in a night, Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing. For in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing.

Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

Moreover, we have the reliable, prophetic word, and y’all do well to pay attention to it like a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in y’all’s hearts.


Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, rushed into the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.


Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Yes, Amen.
