I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.


Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since people began to bring the offerings into the house of YHWH, we have eaten and had enough, and have plenty left over, for YHWH has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.”


Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is YHWH.


Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in YHWH, his God,


Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which YHWH has blessed.”


My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of YHWH.”


‘Look, the people that has come out of Egypt covers the surface of the earth. Now, come curse them for me. Perhaps I will be able to fight against them and drive them out.’”


Balaam rose up in the morning, and said to the officials of Balak, “Y’all should go to your* land, because YHWH has refused to let me to go with y’all.”


Please come now therefore, and curse this people for me, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps I may be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. For I know that the one who you bless is blessed, and the one who you curse is cursed.”


Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it will be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘What has God done!’


Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps YHWH will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.


How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I defy whom YHWH has not defied?


He crouches, he lies down like a lion or lioness, who would rouse them? Everyone who blesses you is blessed. Everyone who curses you is cursed.”


While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent a message to him: “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”


since God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,


For YHWH your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has known your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years, YHWH your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.


Nevertheless YHWH your God would not listen to Balaam, but YHWH your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because YHWH your God loved you.


You will be blessed when you come in, and you will be blessed when you go out.


You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by YHWH, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”


You will be blessed above all peoples. There won’t be male or female barren among you, or among your livestock.
