Yes, they spoke against God. They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?


They said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?


The people murmured against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”


When the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they didn’t know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread which YHWH has given y’all to eat.


The house of Israel called its name “Manna”, and it was like coriander seed, white; and its taste was like wafers with honey.


A full soul loathes a honeycomb; but to a hungry soul, every bitter thing is sweet.


“‘“But the children rebelled against me. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and didn’t keep my ordinances to do them, by which if a person keeps, they will live in them. They profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.


but a whole month, until it comes out at y’all’s nostrils, and it is loathsome to y’all, because y’all have rejected YHWH who is among y’all, and have wept before him, saying, “Why did we leave Egypt?”’”


But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, saying, “Y’all have killed YHWH’s people!”


The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Look, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!


Let us not test Christ, as some of them did, and perished by the serpents.
