12 YHWH said to Moses and Aaron, “Because neither of y’all believed in me enough to treat me as holy in the sight of the children of Israel, y’all will not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

They rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Y’all listen to me, Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem! Establish your trust in YHWH y’all’s God and y’all will be established! Establish your trust in ʜɪꜱ prophets, and y’all will succeed.”


They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;


YHWH our God, you answered them. You are a God who forgave them, but also an avenger of their deeds.


The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If y’all won’t stand firm in your faith, y’all won’t not stand at all.’”


YHWH Almighty is the one who y’all are to regard as holy. Hᴇ is the one y’all are to fear. Hᴇ is the one y’all are to dread.


I will accept y’all as a pleasant aroma when I bring y’all out from the peoples and gather y’all from the lands where y’all have been scattered. I will be proved holy through y’all in the sight of the nations.


I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which y’all have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am YHWH,” says Lord YHWH, “when I am proven holy through y’all before their eyes.


“‘Lord YHWH says: “It will happen in that day that things will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.


Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what YHWH spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.


If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found favor in your sight; and don’t let me see my wretchedness.”


“Aaron will be gathered to his people, for he will not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because y’all rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.


because in the strife of the congregation in the wilderness of Zin, y’all rebelled against my command to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)


Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I stay with y’all? How long will I put up with y’all? Bring him here to me.”


He said to them, “Because y’all have so little faith. For truly I tell y’all, if y’all have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed, y’all can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for y’all.”


Now listen: because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their appointed time, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens.”


Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill what he said to her!”


For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.


Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but was strengthened through faith, giving glory to God,


YHWH was also angry with me because of y’all, saying, “You also will not enter it.


YHWH said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you must not go over there.”


Furthermore YHWH was angry with me because of y’all, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land which YHWH your God gives you for an inheritance.


“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.


But sanctify Christ as Lord in y’all’s hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks y’all to give a reason for the hope that is in y’all. But do this with gentleness and reverence,
