29 Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place about which YHWH said, ‘I will give it to y’all.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well, for YHWH has spoken good concerning Israel.”

YHWH appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your offspring.” So he built an altar there to YHWH, who had appeared to him.


for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.


In that day YHWH made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:


I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”


You said, ‘I will make you prosper-prosper, and make your offspring as the sand of the sea, which can’t be counted because there are so many.’”


Y’all shout for joy to YHWH, all the land!


Y’all taste and see that YHWH is good. Blessed is the warrior who seeks protection in ʜɪᴍ.


Come y’all, let’s sing to YHWH. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation!


Now Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moses and for Israel his people, how YHWH had brought Israel out of Egypt.


Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God. Aaron came with all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law before God.


Moses let his father-in-law depart, and he went his way into his own land.


When they came to Reuel their father, he said, “Why have y’all returned so early today?”


Moses was content to dwell with the man. He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter.


Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.


I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.


I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.


Many peoples will come and say, “Y’all come, let’s go up to the mountain of YHWH, to the house of the God of Jacob; and ʜᴇ will teach us of ʜɪꜱ ways, and we will walk in ʜɪꜱ paths.” For the law will go out from Zion, and the word of YHWH from Jerusalem.


They will inquire concerning Zion with their faces turned toward it, saying, ‘Y’all must come and join with YHWH in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.’


Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.


God is not a human, that he should lie, nor a son of a human, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?


Hᴇ didn’t gave him an inheritance in it, not even ground for his foot. But ʜᴇ promised to give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him, though his child did not yet exist.


YHWH your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it. He will do you good, and increase your numbers more than your fathers.


You are to keep ʜɪꜱ statutes and ʜɪꜱ commandments that I command you today, so that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which YHWH your God gives you for all time.


in the hope of eternal life, which the unlying God promised before time eternal,


so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.


The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely.


The children of the Kenite, Moses’ brother-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which is in the south of Arad; and they went and lived with the people.


Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab, Moses’ brother-in-law, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.


Saul said to the Kenites, “Y’all go, leave, and march down among the Amalekites, so that I don’t destroy you along with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
