Listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear in heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.


yet if they repent in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of those who carried them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and have done perversely; we have dealt wickedly,’


Now y’all intend to subjugate the children of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves*. Don’t y’all also have transgressions against YHWH y’all’s God?


For our fathers were unfaithful, and have done that which was evil in YHWH our God’s sight, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of YHWH, and turned their backs.


“Now, my God, let, I beg you, your eyes be open, and let your ears be attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.


Now while Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before God’s house, there was gathered together to him out of Israel a very great assembly of men and women and children; for the people wept very bitterly.


Now therefore y’all must give a confession to YHWH, the God of y’all’s fathers and y’all are to do ʜɪꜱ will. Y’all must separate yourselves* from the peoples of the land and from the foreign women.”


Lord, I beg you, let your ear be attentive now to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name; and please prosper your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” Now I was cup bearer to the king.


Hᴇ has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.


We have sinned with our ancestors. We have done wrong and acted wickedly.


Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

The eyes of YHWH are on the righteous. Hɪꜱ ears listen to their cry.

“Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is today, we have sinned. We have done wickedly.


While I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before YHWH my God for the holy mountain of my God—


I prayed to YHWH my God, and made confession, and said, “Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,


we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.


Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.


Won’t God bring justice to ʜɪꜱ chosen ones who are crying out to ʜɪᴍ day and night? Will ʜᴇ delay helping them?


and then was a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never departed from the temple, serving night and day through fasting and prayer.


We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, indulging in the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like all the rest.


Now the widow who is in need and desolate, has put her hope on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.


I thank God, whom I serve as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience. I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day,


If we confess our sins, ʜᴇ is faithful and righteous, such that ʜᴇ will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
