For ʜᴇ has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron.


For ʜᴇ has strengthened the bars of your gates. Hᴇ has blessed your children within you.


In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of YHWH Almighty’s hand, which he shakes over them.


A sword is on the boasters, and they will become fools. A sword is on her mighty men, and they will be dismayed.


A sword is on their horses, on their chariots, and on all the mixed people who are in the middle of her; and they will become as women. A sword is on her treasures, and they will be robbed.


The warriors of Babylon have stopped fighting, they remain in their strongholds. Their might has failed. They have become like women. Her dwelling places are set on fire. Her bars are broken.


Your mighty men, Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.


The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.


It is decreed: she is uncovered, she is carried away; and her servants moan as with the voice of doves, beating on their breasts.


There the fire will devour you. The sword will cut you off. It will devour you like the grasshopper. Multiply like grasshoppers. Multiply like the locust.
