I am the first to say to Zion, ‘Look, look at them;’ and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.


Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains!


Awake, awake! Put on your strength, Zion. Put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city, for from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean will no more come into you.


How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”


“So y’all will know that I am YHWH, your God, dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy, and no strangers will pass through her any more.


“You are to speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘These are the appointed feasts of YHWH, which y’all are to proclaim to be holy assemblies.


“‘These are the appointed feasts of YHWH, even holy assemblies, which y’all are to proclaim in their appointed season.


YHWH has commanded concerning you: “No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”


The angel said to them, “Y’all don’t be afraid! I am bringing y’all good news that will bring great joy to all the people.


“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, peace toward the humans ʜᴇ is pleased with.”


Y’all know the message ʜᴇ sent to the children of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.


And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those, who bring the good news of good things!”
