Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city around it); and the king went by the way of the Arabah.


Therefore YHWH brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.


He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon, and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia,


“Cyrus king of Persia says, ‘YHWH, the God of heaven, has given all the kingdoms of the earth to me. Hᴇ has commanded me to build ʜɪᴍ a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Any of ʜɪꜱ people among y’all, may YHWH their God be with them, and let them go up.’”
