This is the account of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.


the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news preached to them.


A Canaanite woman came out from that region and cried out, “Have mercy on me, Lord, son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”


“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has seizures and suffers miserably. He often falls into the fire or into the water.


As they went out from Jericho, a large crowd followed him.


But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were shouting in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant.


The crowds who went in front of him and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord [YHWH]! Hosanna in the highest!”


When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do y’all believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”


Blessed is the coming empire of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”


It has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, feel gut-wrenching sympathy toward us and help us.”


and raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”


Then he said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is the son of David?

Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”


concerning his Son, who was from the seed of David according to the flesh,


Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them through the flesh is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.
