They brought their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the donkeys. He fed them with bread in exchange for all their livestock for that year.


Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will y’all waver between the two sides? If YHWH is God, y’all must follow him. But if Baal, then y’all follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.


These nations feared YHWH while also serving their graven images. To this day, their children and grandchildren do as their ancestors did.

I am telling y’all, y’all must make friends for yourselves* by using unrighteous wealth so that when it runs out, y’all will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.


For am I now seeking the favor of humans or of God? Or am I striving to please humans? For if I were still pleasing humans, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.


Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be arrogant or have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
