When anyone hears the word of the empire and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in their heart. This is the seed sown by the roadside.


The field is the world, the excellent seeds are the children of the empire. The weeds are the children of the evil one,


For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.


Do not swear by your head, because you can’t make even one hair white or black.


And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.


I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would protect them from the evil one.


Y’all are of your* father the devil, and y’all want to do what your* father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own, for he is a liar, and the father of lies.


Therefore, y’all must put away falsehood and speak truthfully each one to their neighbor, for we are members of one another.


In everything, y’all should take up the shield of faith with which y’all will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one.


Y’all must not lie to one another since y’all have laid aside the old humanity with its practices,


Let y’all’s speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that y’all may know how y’all ought to respond to each person.


But the Lord is faithful, and ʜᴇ will strengthen y’all and protect y’all from the evil one.


But above all things, my siblings, y’all must not swear—not by heaven or by the earth or by any other oath. Instead let y’all’s “yes” mean “yes,” and y’all’s “no” mean “no,” so that y’all won’t fall into judgment.


I write to y’all fathers, because y’all know ʜɪᴍ who is from the beginning. I write to y’all young men, because y’all have conquered the evil one.


unlike Cain, who was from the evil one and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.


We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but the one who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot touch them.
