Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As YHWH, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there will not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”


saying, “God has forsaken him. Y’all pursue and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”


Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with vinegar, put it on a reed, and offered it to him to drink.


Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and gave up his spirit.
