I am a marvel to many, but you are my strong refuge.


Look, I and the children whom YHWH has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from YHWH Almighty who dwells in Mount Zion.


Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, are men who are a sign that I will bring out my servant, the Branch.


But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”


When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer.


Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they testify against you?”


But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate marveled.


So he accosted him with many questions, but Jesus gave no response.


He went back into the Praetorium and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.


For it seems to me that God has exhibited us, the apostles, last of all, like those sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and humans.
