One who trusts in himself is a fool; but one who walks in wisdom is kept safe.


A person’s pride brings them low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.


The fear of people becomes a trap, but whoever puts his trust in YHWH is kept safe.


“Whom have you dreaded and feared, so that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven’t I held my peace for a long time, and you don’t fear me?


The heart is deceitful above all things and incurably sick. Who can understand it?


One of those with Jesus reached out his hand to draw his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting his ear off.


But all this has happened to fulfill the writings of the prophets.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.


But Peter followed him from a distance to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered in and sat with the officers, to see the outcome.


Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him, saying, “You too were with Jesus, the Galilean!”


When he had gone out onto the porch, another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”


But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”


Beautiful! By their unbelief they were broken off, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear,


Therefore let anyone who thinks they stand be careful that they doesn’t fall.


But for the cowardly, the unbelieving, the disgusting, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the magic drug users, the idolaters, and all the liars, their share is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
