But a certain one of the bystanders drew his sword and struck the high priest’s slave, cutting off his ear.


But Jesus turned and rebuked them,


Jesus answered, “My empire is not of this world. If my empire were of this world, then my servants would fight so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jewish leaders. But now my empire is not from this place.”


for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but powerful through God for tearing down fortresses.
