He went a little farther, fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not what I will, but as you will.”


He went second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”


But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. Then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and petitions with strong cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
