8 Tagairtí Cros

YHWH, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through ʜɪꜱ messengers, rising up early and sending, because ʜᴇ had compassion on ʜɪꜱ people and on ʜɪꜱ dwelling place;

“I have struck down y’all’s children in vain. They received no correction. Y’all’s own sword has devoured your* prophets, like a destroying lion.

“Woe to y’all, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For y’all build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous,

Therefore y’all testify against yourself* that y’all are children of those who murdered the prophets.

Y’all consider the people of Israel. Aren’t those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar?

Our hope for y’all is firm, because we know that just as y’all are partners in our sufferings, y’all will also be partners in our comfort.
