Now the whole family has risen against your servant, and they say, ‘Hand over the one who struck his brother, so that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he killed, and so destroy the heir also.’ Thus they would quench my coal which is left, and would leave to my husband neither name nor remainder on the surface of the earth.”


Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life and your son Solomon’s life.


When harvest time came near, he sent his servants to the tenants to receive his fruit.


Finally he sent them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’


So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.


“But when the farmers saw him, they deliberated among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’


but in these last days, ʜᴇ has spoken to us by ʜɪꜱ Son, whom ʜᴇ appointed heir of all things, and through whom ʜᴇ also made the universe.
