“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”


Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that word of YHWH by Jeremiah’s mouth might be accomplished, YHWH stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,


Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin, the priests and the Levites, all whose spirit God had stirred to go up, rose up to build the house of YHWH which is in Jerusalem.


Blessed be YHWH, the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of YHWH which is in Jerusalem;


The earth is YHWH’s, with its fullness, the world, and those who dwell in it.


saying to them, “Go into the village that is ahead of y’all. Immediately y’all will find a donkey tied there, and a colt with her. Y’all untie them and bring them to me.


This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet,


even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.


The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.


Nor is ʜᴇ served by human hands, as if ʜᴇ needed anything. Rather, ʜᴇhe is the giver of all life, breath, and everything.


Thanks be to God, who put the same concern I have for y’all in the heart of Titus.
