Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I observe your word.


It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes.


YHWH is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.


As he got out, he saw a large crowd, and he felt gut-wrenching sympathy for them and healed their sick.


Jesus summoned his disciples and said, “I have gut-wrenching sympathy for the multitude, because they have continued with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they might faint on the way.”


They told him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”


When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,


He touched her hand, and the fever left her. So she got up and served him.


Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to y’all’s faith let it be done to y’all.”


But when he saw the crowds, he felt gut-wrenching sympathy for them because they were distressed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.


Jesus took him aside from the crowd privately and put his fingers into his ears. Then he spat and touched the man’s tongue.


Immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And when all the people saw this, they praised God.


But Jesus responded, “Stop this, y’all!” Then he touched the man’s ear and healed him.


When the Lord saw her, he felt gut-wrenching sympathy for her and said to her, “Don’t cry.”


to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’


Therefore he had to be made like his siblings in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.


Finally, all y’all should be one-minded and sympathetic, having the affection of siblings and being compassionate and humble.
