Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “They are a people who err in their heart. They have not known my ways.”


Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.


YHWH said to Moses, “How long will y’all refuse to keep my commandments and my instructions?


“How long will y’all who are naive love naiveté? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?


How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?


YHWH has mixed a spirit of perverseness in the middle of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all of its works, like a drunken man staggers in his vomit.


Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long will your evil thoughts lodge within you?


YHWH said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? How long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?


“How long must I bear with this evil congregation that complains against me? I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel, which they complain against me.


He didn’t do many miracles there because of their unbelief.


Aware of this, Jesus, said, “Y’all of little faith! Why are y’all talking about not having bread?


So I brought him to your disciples, but they could not cure him.”


Jesus rebuked the demon, and it went out of him, and the boy was cured from at once.


But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, won’t he much more clothe y’all of little faith?


He said to them, “Why are y’all fearful, y’all of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.


Afterward, he appeared to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table. He rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen.


He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long must I stay with y’all? How long should I endure y’all? Y’all bring him to me.”


He said to them, “O foolish people, slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!


Jesus answered, “Unbelieving and perverse generation, how long must I stay with y’all and put up with y’all? Bring your son here.”


Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”


For a period of about forty years he endured their habits in the wilderness,


With many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Y’all must be saved from this crooked generation!”


I’d like y’all to put up with a little foolishness from me. Yes, y’all are putting up with me.


They have acted corruptly toward ʜɪᴍ. They are not ʜɪꜱ children, because of their defect. They are a generation of perversion and distortion.
