After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.


Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, kneeling down and asking him for a favor.


He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him, and became anguished and distressed.


Walking by the sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.


Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in the boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them,


As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the house of Simon and Andrew.


As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,


The apostles gathered together with Jesus, and they told him all they had done and taught.


“For this reason, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of whom they will kill and persecute,


When the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him.


Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Y’all Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”


and so were Simon’s partners, James and John, sons of Zebedee. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching humans.”


When the apostles returned, they gave an account of everything they had done. Taking them with him, he withdrew privately to a town called Bethsaida.


Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Jesus.


One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was reclining against Jesus’s chest.


So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have laid him!”


Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two of his other disciples were together.


Then Peter turned around and saw a disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, following them. (This was the one who had also leaned against Jesus’s chest at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”)


This is the disciple who testifies about these things and wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.


So Jesus said to the twelve, “Y’all don’t want to go away too, do y’all?”


Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose y’all, the twelve? And yet one of y’all is a devil!”


Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for he was the one from the twelve who would betray him.


One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,


When they arrived, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying. Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James were there.


They cast lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias, so he was added to the eleven apostles.


He had James, the brother of John, executed by the sword.


Peter and John were going up to the temple for the time of prayer at three in the afternoon.


Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,


So Christ gave some to be apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers


Therefore, holy siblings, partakers of a heavenly calling, y’all must fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we confess as our Apostle and High Priest.


Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who are living as foreigners scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen


Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith as precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:


The elder, To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not I only, but also all those who know the truth,

I John, y’all’s sibling and partner in the tribulation, the empire, and the perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.


“Rejoice over her, O heaven, saints, apostles, and prophets, for God has pronounced judgment on her for y’all.”


I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had been showing me these things.
