He put the wood in order, and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. He said, “Y’all are to fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.”


So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.


Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.


Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.


For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.


When Jesus heard about John, he withdrew from there by boat to a solitary place by himself. Hearing this, the crowds followed him on foot from the cities.


He took Peter, James, and John with him, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.


After these things he appeared in another form to two of them as they were walking in the country.


He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.


During those days, Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and he spent the whole night in prayer to God.


The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.


Y’all must not be conformed to this world. Instead y’all are to be transformed by the renovation of the mind, so that y’all may test and approve what the will of God is—that which is good, pleasing, and perfect.


This is the third time I am coming to y’all. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”


who will transform our humble bodies into the form of his glorious body, according to the power through which he is able to subject all things to himself.


Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. The earth and the heaven fled from his face, no place was found for them.
