31 He said to them, “Y’all come with me to a secluded place and rest for a while.” For there were many people coming and going, and they had not had an opportunity to eat.

When Jesus heard about John, he withdrew from there by boat to a solitary place by himself. Hearing this, the crowds followed him on foot from the cities.


Instead, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer openly enter into a city, but stayed outside in lonely places. Still people came to him from everywhere.


Then he came into a house, and a crowd gathered again, so that they could not so much as eat.


Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a large crowd followed him from Galilee, from Judea,


After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee (also called the Sea of Tiberias).
