Yes, my own close friend, who I trusted, who ate bread with me, has raise his heel against me.


As they were eating, he said, “Truly I tell y’all that one of y’all will betray me.”


For truly I tell y’all, until heaven and earth pass away, not even the smallest letter or pen stroke will pass away from the law, until everything is accomplished.


“Moreover, when y’all fast, don’t be like the hypocrites with sullen faces. For they disfigure their faces so that humans will notice them fasting. Truly I tell y’all, they have received their reward.


Therefore, when y’all give to the poor, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to be honored by humans. Truly I tell y’all, they have received their reward.


“When y’all pray, y’all are not to be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by humans. Truly, I tell y’all, they have received their reward.


I tell y’all, whoever will not receive the Empire of God like a little child will never enter it.”


Jesus said, “I tell y’all, there is no one who has left house or brother or sister or father or mother or wife or children or land for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,


When it was evening, he came with the twelve.


They were sorrowful, and one by one they said to him, “Surely not I?”


Truly I tell y’all, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the Empire of God.”


I tell y’all, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.”

When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell y’all that one of y’all is going to betray me.”


The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.


Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three times.


Very truly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”


Truly, I tell you, we speak what we know and testify to what we have seen, but y’all don’t accept our testimony.


Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, no one can see the Empire of God unless they are born again.”


Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, no one can enter into the Empire of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.


So Jesus answered them, “Truly, I tell y’all, the Son can do nothing by himself, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does.


Jesus answered them, “Very truly I tell y’all, y’all are seeking me, not because y’all saw miraculous signs, but because y’all ate the loaves and were satisfied.


Then, Jesus told them, “Very truly, I tell y’all, it wasn’t Moses who gave y’all the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives y’all the true bread from heaven.


Very truly, I tell y’all, the one who believes has eternal life.


Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose y’all, the twelve? And yet one of y’all is a devil!”
