The hands of the pitiful women have boiled their own children. They were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people.


Samaria will bear her guilt, for she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women will be ripped open.”


Give them—YHWH what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.


They asked him, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have y’all not read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have prepared praise for yourself?’”

Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.


Look, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.’
