Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares ʜɪꜱ way so that I will show God’s salvation to ʜɪᴍ.”


To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to YHWH than sacrifice.


For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.


But if y’all had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ y’all wouldn’t have condemned the innocent.


But y’all go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”


You are to love YHWH your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.


Above he first says, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them” (though they were offered in accordance with the law).


Samuel said, “Does YHWH delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as obeying YHWH’s voice? Look! To obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen is better than the fat of rams.
