As they were walking along and talking, suddenly, a chariot of fire and horses of fire separated them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.


So then, after the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.


But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished!


Then Jesus traveled throughout the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way toward Jerusalem.


While on the way to Jerusalem, Jesus passed through the border between Samaria and Galilee.


Then he took the twelve aside and said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written in the prophets about the Son of Humanity will come to completion.


While the people were listening to these things, Jesus proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and they thought the Empire of God would be revealed immediately.


After he said these things, Jesus went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.


While he was blessing them, he left them and was carried up into heaven.


As they walked the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go, Lord.”


It was just before the feast of the Passover. Jesus, knowing that the time had come when he would depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.


I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”


But now I am going to ʜɪᴍ who sent me, and none of y’all asks me, ‘Where are you going?’


I am no longer in the world, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them through your name which you have given me, so that they may be one, even as we are one.
