Against you, and you only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight, so you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.


For if y’all love those who love y’all, what reward do y’all have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?


But if we say, ‘Of human origin,’ all the people will stone us, because they are convinced that John was a prophet.”


Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they asked him, “Teacher, what should we do?”


“For I tell y’all, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John. Yet the one who is least in the Empire of God is greater than he.”


But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”
