For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.


See that y’all don’t despise one of these little ones. For I tell y’all that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.


But y’all go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”


For he knew that the chief priests had handed him over because of envy.
