Do you seek great things for yourself? Don’t seek them. For, I am about to bring disaster on all flesh,’ says YHWH, ‘but I will let you escape with your life wherever you go.’”


For what does it benefit a human if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what can a human give in exchange for their soul?


Therefore I tell y’all, don’t be anxious for your* life: what y’all will eat, or what y’all will drink; or about your* body, what y’all will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?


Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Those who are inside the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter it,
