The wicked watch the righteous, and seek to kill him.


When he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His stores up evil in his heart. When he goes outside, he tells it.


They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.


for as he thinks about the cost, so he is. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.


How much more valuable is a human than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”


They watched him to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.


As Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited him to dine with him. So he went in and reclined at the table.


There in front of him was a man suffering from edema, a swelling under the skin.


The Pharisees questioned him about when the Empire of God would come, and Jesus answered them, “The Empire of God does not come with something observable,


Then they watched him closely and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, so that they could trap him in something he said and deliver him up to the governor’s jurisdiction and authority.


The scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse him.


Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.


But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.
