“Y’all go and inquire of YHWH for me, and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found. For great is YHWH’s fury that is poured out on us, because our ancestors have not kept word of YHWH, to do according to all that is written in this book.”


Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, so as to provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands, therefore my wrath will be poured out on this place, and it will not be quenched.’”’


Hɪꜱ anger is kindled against me. Hᴇ counts me among ʜɪꜱ enemies.


For the arrows of the Almighty are within me. My spirit drinks up their poison. The terrors of God set themselves in array against me.


The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.


Hᴇ prepared ʜɪꜱ weapons of death. Hᴇ makes ready ʜɪꜱ flaming arrows.


Therefore ʜᴇ poured the fierceness of his anger on ʜɪᴍ, and the strength of battle. It set him on fire all around, but he didn’t know. It burned him, but he didn’t take it to heart.”


But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.


I trod down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath. I poured their lifeblood out on the earth.”


My tent has been destroyed, and all my cords are broken. My children have gone away from me, and they are no more. There is no one to spread my tent any more, to set up my curtains.


House of David, YHWH says, ‘Y’all must administer justice every morning, and deliver the person who has been robbed from the hand of the oppressor, or else my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the their evil deeds.


I myself will fight against y’all with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, in anger, wrath, and intense indignation.


All your lovers have forgotten you. They don’t seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.


It may be they will present their petition before YHWH, and will each return from their evil way. Gor YHWH has pronounced great anger and wrath against this people.”


Y’all must circumcise yourselves* to YHWH, and take away the foreskins of y’all’s heart, men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, or else my wrath will go out like fire and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the of y’all’s evil deeds.


For YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘As my anger and my wrath has been poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will be poured out on y’all when y’all enter into Egypt. Y’all will become an object of horror and astonishment, a curse and a reproach. And y’all will never see this place again.’


Therefore Lord YHWH says: “Surely, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”


“From on high has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them. He has spread a net for my feet. He has turned me back. He has made me desolate and I faint all day long.


The Lord has become as an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces. He has destroyed his strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah.


Surely he turns his hand against me again and again all day long.


How the gold has become dim! The most pure gold has changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.


YHWH has accomplished his wrath. He has poured out his fierce anger. He has kindled a fire in Zion, which has devoured its foundations.


“‘Therefore Lord YHWH says: “I will break it with a violent wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing rain from my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.


I will bring y’all out from the nations and will gather y’all from the lands where y’all have been scattered—with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.


As silver is melted in the middle of the furnace, so y’all will be melted in it. Then y’all will know that I, YHWH, have poured out my wrath on y’all.’”


“You, son of humanity, shouldn’t it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart—their sons and their daughters—


Therefore I poured out my wrath on them for the blood which they had poured out on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols.


“‘Thus my anger will be accomplished, and I will cause my wrath toward them to rest, and I will be comforted. They will know that I, YHWH, have spoken in my zeal, when I have accomplished my wrath on them.


He who is far off will die of the pestilence. He who is near will fall by the sword. He who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus I will accomplish my wrath on them.


They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.


I will set my face against y’all, and y’all will be struck down before y’all’s enemies. Those who hate y’all will rule over y’all, and y’all will flee when no one is pursuing y’all.


YHWH is a jealous and avenging God. YHWH avenges and is full of wrath. YHWH takes vengeance on ʜɪꜱ adversaries, and ʜᴇ maintains wrath against ʜɪꜱ enemies.


Who can stand before ʜɪꜱ indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? Hɪꜱ wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by ʜɪᴍ.


For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.


Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since YHWH has departed from you and has become your adversary?
