Y’all take double money in y’all’s hand, and take back the money that was returned in the mouth of y’all’s sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight.


He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”


In every province and in every city, wherever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had gladness, joy, a feast and a holiday. Many from among the peoples of the land became Jews, for the fear of the Jews had fallen on them.


He said to them, “Y’all are to take nothing for your journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, not even an extra shirt.


“Y’all go through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Y’all prepare provisions. In three days, y’all are to pass over the Jordan and go in to possess the land which YHWH y’all’s God is giving y’all to possess.’”


and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan, who was at Ashtaroth.


This our bread we took hot for our supplies out of our houses on the day we went out to go to y’all. But now, look, it is dry, and has become moldy.


They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.” Joshua said to them, “Who are y’all and where do y’all come from?”
