Joab said, “May YHWH make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, aren’t they all my lord’s servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?”


So Israel rebelled against David’s house to this day.


Now from the time that Amaziah turned away from following YHWH, they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem. He fled to Lachish, but they sent after him to Lachish and killed him there.


They resisted Uzziah the king, and said to him, “It isn’t for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to YHWH, but for the priests the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed. It will not be for your honor from YHWH God.”


and said to them, “Y’all must not bring the captives here, or we will be guilty before YHWH. Do y’all intend to add to our sins and guilt. For our guilt is so great that there is burning anger is on Israel.”


YHWH, the God of Israel, you are righteous; for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is today. We are before you in our guiltiness! For no one can stand before you because of this.”


For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy offspring have mixed themselves with the peoples of the lands. Yes, the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this trespass.”

They have quickly turned away from the way that I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed to it, and said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.’”


But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.


“‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,

For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before y’all, and y’all will fall by the sword because y’all turned back from following YHWH. Therefore YHWH will not be with y’all.”


For if y’all turn away from following ʜɪᴍ, ʜᴇ will once again leave them in the wilderness, and y’all will destroy all these people.”


“Speak to the children of Israel: ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that humans commit, so as to trespass against YHWH, and that soul is guilty,


If they refuse to listen, tell it to the church, and if they refuse to listen to the church as well, let them be to you as another ethnic group or a tax collector.


Now I urge y’all, siblings, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that y’all agree with one another and that there be no divisions among y’all, but that y’all be perfected together in the same mind and in the same opinion.


In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when y’all are gathered together, and I am with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,


But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away and worship other gods, and serve them,


For they will turn away your sons from me to serve other gods. So YHWH’s anger would burn against y’all, and ʜᴇ would destroy y’all quickly.


Y’all be sure not to refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned them on the earth, how much more will we not escape if we turn away from him who warns from heaven.


When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.


With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.


“The whole congregation of YHWH says, ‘What is this unfaithful act that y’all have committed against the God of Israel, turning away today from following YHWH? Y’all built an altar for yourselves* to rebel against YHWH today?


Now today y’all are turning away from following YHWH? If y’all rebel against YHWH today, tomorrow ʜᴇ will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.


For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because you have rejected the word of YHWH, he has also rejected you from being king.”
